THE MEZUZAH SCROLL

The mezuzah scroll is handwritten with the words of the "Shema" prayer, "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One" and a companion passage from Deuteronomy. The the scroll is rolled up carefully and placed in a mezuzah case, with the the Hebrew letter Shin visible or simply written on the outside of the case.

"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates." Deuteronomy 6:6-9

All scrolls supplied by Laura Cowan are 100% kosher. They are written by a qualified and professional Sofer Stam in Israel. They are written on untreated parchment and each scroll is checked by hand and by computer program.
