Laura's beautiful Kiddush Cup looks beautiful on the dining table at the traditional Passover / Pesach meal or can be used as Elijah's Cup.

Matzo or matzah (plural matzot) is an unleavened bread traditionally eaten by Jews during the week-long Passover holiday, when eating chametz - bread and other food which is made with leavened grain - is forbidden according to Jewish law.

Currently, the most ubiquitous type of matzo is the traditional Ashkenazic type, which is hard like a cracker. However, some Mizrahi Jews have traditionally prepared matzo as a soft and pliable type of flat bread, and these "soft matzos" have recently regained some popularity.

Matzo is eaten by Jews as an obligation during the Passover Seder meal; during the rest of the holiday its consumption is optional, though customary, as only unleavened bread may be eaten.

PASSOVER MATZAH PLATES

This spectacular, sculptural piece was inspired by the Tel Aviv sea view of yachts on the ocean.

Instead of using the traditional silversmithing technique of soldering to join pieces together, I perfected a technique using hidden magnets, so the steel shapes can be moved to change the personality of the piece.

Created in high quality shiny stainless steel, the top pieces of the Matzah (Matzo) Plate are hand curved into gentle waves and are attached to the base by hidden neodymium magnets.

The plate is modular so you choose how to place the waves. It can be used as a fruit bowl, arranging the waves to contain the fruit, or as a Chanukiah, subtly hiding the tea lights between pairs of waves, or purely as a piece of table sculpture.
