Modern Seder Plates and Matzah Trays

For Pesach, Laura Cowan designs Modern Judaica that reshapes the Seder table through material and form. Her Seder plates and Matzah trays are built in steel, aluminum and mixed metals, each one shaped by hand rather than pressed into standard symmetry.

The Dune Seder Plate draws on the curves of the Sinai desert, its surface formed into soft waves. The Moon Seder Plate balances geometry and erosion, a square field interrupted by round indentations inspired by lunar craters. No two pieces are identical. Each is signed.
