The Copper Orb Mezuzah is a handcrafted, rocket-shaped mezuzah formed in copper and sterling silver.

Its geometric form contrasts with the unpredictable antiqued surface, developed by burying the copper overnight in a controlled combination of acids and alkali. The process creates depth, variation and subtle tonal shifts across the metal. No two finishes are identical.

Sterling silver bands are soldered around the mezuzah, inspired by the rings of Saturn and adding crisp contrast to the richly textured surface.

Fits 3 inch / 8 cm scroll

Laura Cowan is a contemporary Judaica designer known for her modern menorahs and architectural Jewish ritual objects. A graduate of Silversmithing and Jewellery at London Guildhall University, she designs and handcrafts her work in Israel.
